Baked Potato Bar Fundraiser of St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patty’s Day wouldn’t be complete without a delicious baked potato bar!  The Atchison United Methodist Church youth and adults traveling this summer to Lake Junaluska, NC are planning a great lunch and/or dinner option for any/all throughout the community.  On Friday, March 16, lunch will be available from 11 am – 1:30 pm consisting of  a baked potato with your choice of toppings, cookies, and drink for only $8.00!  Or don’t want to cook when you get home? Pick up a baked potato plus the extras from 4:30 – 6:30 pm and take home for dinner!!  You are welcome to eat at the church, purchase for carry-out, or have it delivered for an additional 50₵ per potato.  Deliveries will be made to homes or businesses in or very near the city limits of Atchison.

You are welcome to call in your order ahead of time to the office at Atchison United Methodist Church at 367-1844, or email  It’s a great way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and support those who will be attending the worship and music conference this summer.

In addition to Friday’s meal, the group will also serve on Saturday, March 17, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Serving will be at the church, 501 Kansas Avenue.  Please enter from the Kansas Avenue door.  Meals will be available for dine in or carry-out.  No deliveries are available on Saturday.

Lake Junaluska, North Carolina is the home of the Music & Worship Arts Week conference sponsored by the Fellowship of United Methodists in Music and Worship Arts.  Atchison UMC was blessed to have ten youth and adults attend the 2017 conference.  Everyone returned revitalized and excited to share.  Much of what they learned and experienced we have all enjoyed in our worship services.

This year, we have a total of 12 youth and adults planning to attend.  As before there will be opportunities to participate in choirs, handbells, drama, and band, as well as classes for bible study, visual arts, and more.
